What is Harvard Undergraduate Women in Business?
Encompassing over 400 Harvard students, WIB is a club that strives to unite and empower young women interested in business. WIB consists of 8 sub-committees, and IBC is our largest event of the year.
Who comes to IBC?
IBC 2015 drew over 1200 participants (both male and female) from American and international universities. IBC is a convention for anyone with an interest in business!
Are boys welcome at IBC?
How expensive is IBC and is there financial aid?
The regular price of IBC is $45 a ticket, and there is a group discount (offered for groups of 8+ people) of $38 a ticket.
Additionally, we offer the IBC Scholarship program, as one of our goals is to make IBC as accessible as possible. IBC Scholars will receive a monetary stipend that will reduce their costs to enable them to attend IBC this October. For more information, please visit http://www.ibc.huwib.org/scholarship.

Where is IBC being held? How do I get there?
IBC 2016 will be held at the Hynes Convention Center, 900 Boylston Street, Boston, MA 02115
Transport options: Taxi, Uber/Lyft/Fasten

Take the Red Line inbound towards Braintree or Ashmont, and get off at Park Street (4 stops from Harvard)
Switch to the Green Line towards Boston College (B), Cleveland Circle (C), or Riverside (D), and get off at Hynes Convention Center (4 stops from Park Street)
Walk eastwards on Newbury Street
Turn right on Hereford Street
Turn left on Boylston Street
Continue until you reach Hynes Convention Center (900 Boylston Street)
Where do I go when I arrive?
Please proceed to the third floor of the Hynes where you will find the sign-in table.
Where do I go after registration?
Help yourself to the continental breakfast served in the hallway outside the ballrooms. The first event of the day will take place in the ballroom - you can find the table number to which you have been assigned on the back of your name tag!
Should I bring my own lunch? What if I have dietary restrictions?
Lunch will be provided.
We are able to accommodate certain dietary restrictions, including: vegetarian, Kosher, gluten free and vegan. You will find a field to indicate any dietary restrictions on our registration form.
What is the dress code?
Dress or skirt that goes down to your knees
Nice button up shirt or nice sweater
Jacket, blazer or cardigan
Flats or heels
We ask that you please do not wear boots, sneakers or jeans
What do I need to bring?
Nothing, really! A tote bag to carry your IBC program and other materials you may receive will be provided, as well as lunch. If you would like to bring a few copies of your resume or money to purchase an IBC t-shirt, please feel free to do so!
Should I bring a resume?
Though not compulsory, feel free to bring a few copies of your resume or business cards for networking opportunities.
Do I need to bring a bag?
Feel free to bring one if you would like to, but we will provide IBC tote bags
How and where do I pick up my pre-ordered IBC shirt?
At the registration table on the day of the conference when you sign in.
HOW DO I ORDER AN IBC SHIRT?
On the IBC registration page (http://www.ibc.huwib.org/sign-up), the last question addresses pre-ordering an IBC shirt.
MAY I PURCHASE A SHIRT ON THE DAY OF THE CONFERENCE?
Yes, although we have a limited quantity so we recommend pre-ordering.

Where can I find the schedule for the day?

On the day of the conference, you will also receive the IBC program which will contain the schedule for the day’s events, as well as the available breakout sessions.
WHAT TIME WILL THE CONFERENCE BEGIN AND END?
Sign-in will begin at 8am, and the conference is expected to conclude at 6pm.
WHAT EVENTS/ACTIVITIES WILL TAKE PLACE AT IBC?
Keynote speeches, breakout sessions, a career fair, IBC Talks, and networking sessions!
WHAT TABLE WILL I BE SITTING AT DURING LUNCH?
Based on your response to the form we sent you, we have tried to assign you to a lunch table with a professional in an industry you have indicated your interested in. You will find your lunch table number on the back of your name tag.
DO I NEED TO STAY THE WHOLE DAY?
While it attending the entire conference is not mandatory, we hope you will stay for the whole day to take advantage of the networking opportunities, and to expand your business knowledge!

What is a CALP and how do I become one?
CALP stands for Campus Leadership Ambassador Program
Campus Ambassadors help us to promote IBC at their school, and inspire other girls around the globe to engage in personal and business leadership development through a variety of year-round events.
Benefits include a free ticket to IBC, being featured on the IBC 2016 website, and access to an exclusive networking session at the IBC
Unfortunately, applications to become a CALP for IBC 2016 have now closed - however, we would love for you to consider applying next year!
